During our trip to Paris with Kassidy and Kaitlyn in 2025, we were about to get on a lovely evening dinner cruise of the Siene river. The sun was setting over the Louvre (pictured in the background). Everything was perfect.

Everett got down on one knee, and then… completely forgot how to speak. Utterly overtaken with emotion, he then mumbled out “will you mer…” before trailing off in tears. It was then that Taylor noticed he also opened the ring box upside down.

For most couples, this would probably constitute a ruined engagement. But for us, this just made it all the more perfect: a beautiful moment, filled with laughter and love. We wouldn’t have had our engagement go any other way even if we could do it all over again.
